News King leaves for Britain for talks on Mideast

His Majesty King Abdullah II on Sunday left for London on a several-day working visit for talks with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown on developments in the Middle East. Talks will focus on efforts underway to overcome obstacles impeding the resumption of Palestinian-Israeli peace negotiations to bring about peace in the region based on the two-state solution and terms of reference and within a comprehensive regional context. King Abdullah will also deliver a speech at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom on various issues and challenges in the Middle East. His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein was sworn in as regent before the cabinet.
